Cathedral Museum in Bari italy

The Cathedral Museum in Bari holds paintings which have come from local churches. There is a small area holding Byzantine icons including the Madonna dello Zaffiro and a more famous Madonna delle Grazie. Another section of the museum is dedicated to Neapolitan painting with a wonderful work by Paolo Finoglio, La Madonna in gloria tra Sant’Eligio e San Trifone, (The Glorious Virgin between St. Eligius and St. Triphon) the painting was completed in 1634.
